The house music fades out and Trevor steps forward holding a glass bottle by his side. He silences the audience and reads from a sheet of paper.
Alright, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Peter Pan. A couple of announcements. The venue kindly requests that patrons ensure they have decanted all drinks into plastic cups.
Realises and hides his
And also that all members of the audience switch off their mobile phones.
His mobile phone rings. He quickly answers it.
Not now, Tanya, I’m on stage. Yeah the audience are in, yeah alright I’ll get a photo. Bye.
Hangs up, turns around and takes a selfie shot of himself in front of the audience. We hear the phone camera noise.
(Continues reading.) Do also remember that photography of any kind is strictly prohibited. One final note, please be aware that the emergency fire exits . . . are locked.
