One of my audition tapes there . . . But our sound operator Carol has warned us there is a small chance we may
experience some audio interruption and periodic blackouts.
Electric torches have been distributed to the front row, so please do be ready to light the stage if necessary.
Now before we stopped the more keen-eyed of you will have seen that Peter Pan took a rather nasty unrehearsed fall, obviously he wasn’t thinking his happy thoughts.
Nor will he be when he regains consciousness and learns of the severities of his injuries, and we are still waiting for him to regain consciousness.
However do not fear, we are able to continue and I’m sure you will barely notice the difference.
Besides, Peter Pan’s injuries are certainly less severe than those sustained in the first act of our previous production of Oliver!
When during the number ‘Boy for Sale’ our portly Mr. Bumble tripped back onto one of the frailer workhouse children, crushing him.
Regrettably I had parked in the ambulance bay and the paramedics were unable to get to the child and he sadly passed.
I cannot but feel partially responsible for that tragic event, as my vehicle did stop medical help getting to him and also because I was playing Mr. Bumble.
